In 2024, during the final year of my BA degree, I conducted a research project investigating how movement could be explored as part of accessible, multi-sensory environments. After initial background research into the use of technology and sensory aids within dance and other art forms, I underwent a collaborative process, with the support of Soundplay Projects and artist and interaction designer, Lyra Sands, to create my own sensory movement space.
The final result is still very much a work in progress that I am keen to develop further and trial with a range of different participants in the future, given the time, funding and resources to do so.
